Little Roots Academy is a full day preschool and kindergarten preparation program in Emmett, Idaho, serving children ages 3–5. Little Roots Academy continues to grow, welcoming new families, expanding curriculum offerings, and deepening its roots in the Emmett community. Little Roots Academy opened its doors for the first time. Families in Emmett have access to a full day preschool and kindergarten preparation program that matched the quality and care they had been looking for. From day one, every classroom was staffed with two dedicated teachers, keeping our student to teacher ratio well below the state guideline of 1 to 12, because we believe every child deserves more than the minimum.
Taylor began assembling her team, bringing in educators with decades of combined experience. The curriculum was built from the ground up, blending literacy foundations, math readiness, and social-emotional development into a program that would truly prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
Taylor was a stay at home mom who recognized something that many families in Emmett already knew but could not quite put into words. The community deserved better childcare options. Better curriculum. Better care. Rather than waiting for someone else to solve it, she decided to build the solution herself.
